* Pixels for sizes given in cm are our arithmetic at the DPI shown. SSC’s two sizes come from the same notice (why two sizes). UPSC points to the instructions on its application site, which we have not read. Read by us 5 Nov 2026 to 6 Nov 2026 · next check by 13 Jan 2027. Questions
What is the standard signature size?
There is none: each form sets its own, and they differ (see the table). SSC and IBPS both ask for 10–20 KB; PAN for at most 10 KB; NEET for 10–100 KB.
What is signature size in pixels?
IBPS asks for 140 × 60 pixels (preferred). Others give cm: 6.0 × 2.0 cm at 300 DPI is 709 × 236 pixels; PAN’s 4.5 × 2 cm at 200 DPI is 354 × 157.
Black or blue ink?
IBPS and UPSC ask for black ink. Clean up makes any ink near black; untick it to keep blue.
Is 1 KB 1,000 or 1,024 bytes here?
Forms rarely say. We count your minimum at 1,024 bytes per KB and your maximum at 1,000, so the file passes either way of counting. The result shows the exact bytes.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The resizing runs inside your browser, on your phone or computer. We tested every page with a network log: no request carried the picture. See the privacy page for the details.
